Natural building and Reciprocal roofs

This beautiful home in Wales was made from straw bales, with a reciprocal roof. It could also have been made out of earth bags or cob. Both cob and earth bags are cheap. Both last a long time and can withstand strong storms. Often the straw bale tends to be more expensive for some reason. Maybe because its not "dirt cheap."
My husband Lee and I have been looking at doing a natural building for many years now. They are cheaper and non toxic, unlike the homes most of us live in now. Owner built homes are also usually less expensive.

Reciprocal roofs are said to be strong and fairly easy to build. They are also good for living roofs and are very pretty.
